Day 1

Arrive Shanghai
Arrival in Shanghai and be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner tonight.
Day 2
(1 day)
Enjoy a cruise on the Huangpu River. Admire the colonial-era buildings as you glide towards New Bund. Disembark and explore the Yu Garden. This evening, enjoy a thrilling Chinese acrobatic show.
Day 3
(1 day)
Shanghai, Suzhou
Travel to Suzhou. On arrival, board a boat for a cruise along Suzhou's canals. Afterwards, head to a silk factory before time at leisure.
Day 4
(1 day)
Suzhou, Hangzhou
Head to the Humble Administrator's Garden. After lunch, travel by train to Hangzhou, Dine at Coffee Garden, Shang Palace or enjoy Italian-styled favourites.
Day 5
(1 day)
Following breakfast, cruise the waters of West Lake. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before traveling to the Six Harmonies Pagoda. Stop at the Dragon Well Tea Village, where you'll stroll along through the tiny alleys and streets as you ascend the mountainous landscapes of the surrounding tea plantation. With time at leisure, step out to explore the city. Dinner this evening features a variety of Hangzhou cuisine.
Day 6

Hangzhou, Xi'an
Fly to Xi'an. Here, explore the ancient city wall. This evening, enjoy a Tang Dynasty cultural performance and authentic local dumpling dinner. Or, take in a tour of the Muslim Quarter, followed by dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 7
(1 day)
Xi'an, Terracotta Army
Tour a clay factory where terracotta soldiers are still made. Spend the afternoon at the Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses and the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum. Here lie the excavation pits where the terracotta sculptures were first unearthed. Here, observe the life-size models that represent the army that triumphed in the Warring States Period. Tonight, choose from Thai cuisine at Siam Garden, a Western choice at Yi Cafe or an authentic Cantonese meal at Tian Xiang Ge.
Day 8
(1 day)
Xi'an, Chongqing, Embark Ship
Farewell Xi'an and fly to Chongqing. Head to the Chongqing Zoo. Later, visit a restaurant for a hotpot lunch before transferring to your luxury river ship, the Sanctuary Yangzi Explorer. Enjoy dinner on board.
Day 9

Fengdu or Relocation Tour
Rise early to join in a tai chi class. Following breakfast, learn the authentic method of preparing traditional Chinese tea, then enjoy a dumpling-making session. Later, take a tour of Fengdu. Choose to visit the Relocated Village, a village who have been forced to move due to the rising waters. Also stop by a Kindergarten and tour through the market. This evening, enjoy the Captain's Welcome Reception, and Welcome Dinner.
Day 10
(1 day)
Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, Shennong Stream, Xiling Gorge
Cruise along the Yangtze River through the Three Gorges region. Disembark your ship at Badong and transfer by ferry to a traditional Chinese sampan (longboat). This afternoon, glide through the longest of the Three Gorges, Xiling Gorge. Later, you may wish to attend an optional lecture, or take part in an onboard arts and crafts demonstration. This evening, enjoy a Chinese banquet.
Day 11

Three Gorges Dam, Yichang, Disembark Ship, Beijing
Arrive at Three Gorges Dam and take a tour of the world's largest engineering project. Cruise to Yichang where you'll disembark and transfer for your flight to Beijing. After time at leisure, enjoy dinner at your hotel.
Day 12
(1 day)
Take a tour of Tiananmen Square. Afterwards, head to the Forbidden City, followed by a visit to the Summer Palace where you'll take a private cruise. After dinner at leisure, choose to attend a Peking Opera show, watch a Kung Fu Show or explore Silk Alley market.
Day 13
(1 day)
Beijing, Great Wall of China
Set out for the Great Wall of China today. Enjoy a buffet lunch overlooking the wall, prepared just for APT guests. This evening, indulge in an authentic Peking Duck banquet back in Beijing.
Day 14
(1 day)
Depart Beijing
Transfer to the airport after breakfast for your onward flight.
